# **Join the movement for a coal-free Philippines!**

Renewable energy like wind and solar are winning globally, and in the country, several cities and provinces have issued a declaration to go coal-free!

But coal companies and some politicians are hindering us from progress: 54% of energy projects under development is comprised of coal-fired power plants, despite the threats posed by dirty coal energy on people’s health, water, environment, economy, and our climate.

The world is facing a climate emergency, and the Philippines is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change. This is why we should be leading the shift to clean energy by example! Support the youth and communities pushing for a renewable energy future.
